COMPANY SUMMARY
Since 1982, Nordic-Calista, LLC has provided drilling and work-over services to the Alaskan energy industry on the North Slope. We consistently employ 100 personnel providing rig and rig management services, camp, catering, and rental equipment to established oil and gas operating companies. The services we provide are environmentally challenging, and safe operations are critical for our success.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position provides services for the 2023-2024 exploration season, which lasts approximately mid-December to mid-April. The Camp Attendant will maintain an organized and safe camp area. He/she will generally work independently but maintain good communication with all rig and office personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains camp facilities. This includes all repairs and routine maintenance, oil changes and cleaning the shop.
  • Performs safety inspections of both camps and location. Maintains all escape routes to ensure timely escape in the case of an emergency.
  • Oversees all fluid transfers (grey water, fuel and water) and solid waste disposal at camp.
  • Performs monthly critical items inspections at the camp, including monthly water sampling and documentation.
  • Assists with camp moves, including pre-move route inspection, permitting, camp sighting documentation, documentation of jack pressures, checks and repairs of the hydraulic system.
  • Assists keeping inventory of all equipment, mud and goods at camp. Maintains a logbook that notes the movement of this equipment on and off of the location.
  • Forwards packing slips for materials to office upon receipt of items. Ensures all materials are received and notifies Field Superintendent of any shortages.
  • Ensure materials for shipment are shipped out with appropriate, complete documentation.

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Good mechanic aptitude to keep engines running, lights and heat on, perform small repairs.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills: specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills to communicate information.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures and training manuals.
  • Ability to generate weekly order lists.
  • Ability to complete maintenance records into maintenance tablet.
  • Ability to communicate issues to management.
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to demonstrate ownership and accountability.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current Driver's license.
  • Ability to pass background, drug, and reference check, as well as physical function assessment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Working outside in an arctic environment. Working on and around slippery surfaces. Working in high noise areas. Working with and around chemicals. Working around high pressure/heat piping and vessels.
