CageWash Technician I

MPF Federal is seeking CageWash Technician who will perform cagewash, equipment maintenance, and sanitation activities for an animal research facility in Aberdeen, MD.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Understands and follows all project SOP’s and policies.

• Clean and sanitize all caging and equipment.
• Provide clean caging set up’s to the care staff daily.
• Maintain the cage washing area and support areas in a clean, neat and organized manner.
• Dispose of waste from the facility according to SOP’s.
• Identify broken and malfunctioning caging and report it to the supervisor.
• Assist with routine preventive maintenance on the cage wash machinery.
• Be aware of the location of Safety Data Sheets used for chemical safety and first aid.
• Receive and store supplies, feed, and bedding.
• Record and document environmental and machinery parameters per SOP’s.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Some previous experience preferred
• Must be US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Be a forward thinker and ability to create and assist in quality contract performance

• General work hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, however, you may be required to work on the weekends/holidays as directed. Additionally, overtime may be required due to an emergency.
