Position Summary
The position manufactures quality steel products in a safe and timely manner by operating various tools and equipment to complete different job functions based on pre-determined schedule.
Principle Accountabilities

• Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at work-site. Works overtime as assigned.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine
• housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions or equipment and notifies supervisor.
• Advises supervisor of any issues after daily inspections of the equipment are completed.
• Reads production drawings and recognizes whether the product is set up properly; sets up pre-formed rebar as indicated in the production drawing with correct bill of materials; makes indicated modifications to the set-up as necessary.
• Identifies size of mesh, rebar, and/or cages based on rebar/cage drawings; sets up pre-formed rebar into jig fixtures for assembly; ties/tack welds reinforcing rebar together per specifications with hand tools to ensure reinforced cages for production; ensures reinforcing steel/rebar is set correctly and to the desired quality control standards by double-checking measurements with tape measure and drawings. Maintains organized stacks of completed rebar/cages in inventory.

Qualifications
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated cage fabrication experience. Other desired qualifications include:

• Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
• Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools including, but not limited to trowels, hammers, wrenches, chisels, powertools, etc.
