Parkwest Bicycle Casino is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Cage Assistant Manager to join our team and make a real difference in our guest’s experience!
The Cage Assistant Manager will execute the highest level of service standards to our appreciated guests by being the face of the casino. This position is the perfect opportunity for a confident, experienced individual with an understanding of the operations of a California card room while providing exemplary hospitality. Assists the Cage Manager in directing all aspects of Cage operations by performing the following duties either personally or through subordinate team members.
- Assists in developing, reviewing and implementing department policies and procedures.
- Ensures adequate controls for security and accountability of company funds in compliance with established policies.
- Assists in preparing department budgets.
- Assists in the hiring, training, evaluating, coaching and counseling to include termination of Cage staff.
- Interfaces with casino management to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service.
- Investigates major variances in company funds which are related to the Cage.
- Monitors security measure to prevent theft, fraud and unauthorized access to cash and casino funds. This includes monitoring surveillance systems and enforcing cash procedures and conducting internal audits.
- Approves of disapproves the payment of negotiable items to established casino customers undress specific guidelines and within the scope of authority.
- Assists in investigation of major variances in company funds which are related to the Cage.
- Assists in maintaining detailed records of all chips purchased and destroyed.

- Represents Parkwest Bicycle Casino well in all contacts. Works as a team member. Maintains cultural sensitivity at all times.
- Use and train cash management systems, accounting software and other technological tools used in the cage operations to the staff.
- Maintains familiarity with Parkwest Bicycle Casino policies and procedures and other applicable regulations.
- Assists in orientation and training of any new staff member or temporary worker.
- Other duties as assigned by the Cage Manager and/or Controller.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university in Business or Accounting plus five years management experience in cage or banking operations.
- Prior experience in managing a staff of 50 plus in a multi-shift operation highly preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years in cage or banking operations. Equivalent combination of education of experience will also be considered.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ensure that all confidential data is maintained securely and handled in a discreet fashion.
- Strong attention to detail, financial acumen and thorough understanding of casino regulations and policies.
- Adheres and enforces all AML/Title 31 regulations.
- Open availability to any given shift, weekends, major holidays and/or be on-call as needed.
- MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background and credit check.
Physical and mental requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to sit, walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
- Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
- Position may require exposure to excessive noise, exposure to dust, gas, flames, chemicals, exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness.
- Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
