The Cafeteria Worker position requirements are register operations (cash counting, refunds, price matching, identify menu and daily sale items), follow label policy (dating, weigh and waste), operate cafe equipment (IPAD, cash register, waste tracking scale, flattop, impinger, steam table, salad bar station sterilization process).

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare quality food according to planned menu
  • Understand what is inclusive of the meal served
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedule, department policies and procedures
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items and make sure servings look appealing
  • Ensure display plates are out at the beginning of meal service
  • Assist in cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment and serving equipment
  • Adhere to food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling and storage
  • Adhere to the uniform policy
  • Adhere to waste standards
  • Attend daily huddles and department meetings
  • Supervise and document food temperature requirements
  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly cleaning checklist
  • Perform other duties as assigned including other areas of the kitchen
  • Greet and interact with all customers
  • Assist in serving food at the various stations in the cafeteria.
  • Follow cash handling and cash register policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent preferred
  • 6 Months Customer Experience preferred
  • One year experience in food service industry or related experience preferred
