Responsibilities:
- Prepare quality food according to planned menu
- Understand what is inclusive of the meal served
- Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- Serve food according to meal schedule, department policies and procedures
- Timely preparation of a variety of food items and make sure servings look appealing
- Ensure display plates are out at the beginning of meal service
- Assist in cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment and serving equipment
- Adhere to food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling and storage
- Adhere to the uniform policy
- Adhere to waste standards
- Attend daily huddles and department meetings
- Supervise and document food temperature requirements
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly cleaning checklist
- Perform other duties as assigned including other areas of the kitchen
- Greet and interact with all customers
- Assist in serving food at the various stations in the cafeteria.
- Follow cash handling and cash register policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent preferred
- 6 Months Customer Experience preferred
- One year experience in food service industry or related experience preferred
