Job Description:
Cadd Manager, manages and coordinates the daily activities, assignments, productivity of the CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence
Ensures the implementation of Parsons Quality System on all drawings Develop, implement, and enforce CAD standards and provide production and provide CAD technical support Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions and provide training and supervision of in-house CAD users Maintain written technology evaluations for future software adoption and Interact on project standards coordination with clients Designing and preparing maps to display information furnished by infrastructure engineers Preparing and support any design drawings for bridge engineering purposes including general arrangement plans, detailed drawings, cross-sections, and steel connection details and reinforcement details. Organization and management of plan project maps and plan files Maintain CAD document archive and retrieval for projects and maintain CAD software inventory Review projects, when needed for a QA/QC check against the applicable standards Manage the data coming in and out of service line such as Issue for Construction and As-builts so it aligns with Roads, Utilities, Bridge, Corridors, Easements, and Coordinates Coordinate with survey and GIS for PBCD's, Site Plans, and Utility reviews to access boundaries and corridors Coordinate with GIS on a database level to ensure all data is up to date and correct
The Cadd Manager position requires the provision of expert of CAD support within a multidiscipline engineering and urban planning environment specifically in automated drafting support in preparing drawings, general arrangement plans, steel connections, reinforcement details and other outputs for the specific plans following the transportation and road/highway/transit design process. Perform frontend layouts and design drawings of complex roadway design projects and structural drafting.
Apply standard drafting and design principles to complete assignments; utilize technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards, codes and client requirements; utilize advanced roadway design tools and software, including MicroStation, Autocad, ProjectWise, Civil3D, Inroads, Revit and Navisworks to prepare engineering drawings; provide guidance to CAD designer/drafters working on different projects; provide coordination of data to ensure designs are compatible; apply company design standards and methods and assist in establishment or revision of guidelines and standards; review supplier data and drawings and check 2D and 3D drawings; attend project meetings to discuss the available resources for the project deadlines;.
Requirements:
Requires 12 years of experience with the following:
Civil, Structural, infrastructure and Landscape CAD design experience; CAD software such as MicroStation, InRoads, Civil3D, Geopak, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesck Construction Cloud (ACC) and Axiom; Electronic QA/QC procedure using Bluebeam Software; Document control system experience using ProjectWise or ACC; Working experience on large projects including bridges, freeways, expressways, arterial roads, collector roads, local roads, signalized junctions and interchanges; NYSDOT, PANYNJ, NJTA Cad standards;
Experience with all type of As-built drawings. Ability to successfully interact and communicate with professional designers, planners and civil engineers Capable of leading a team of 3-8 cad designers

Salary Range:
$100,400.00 - $175,700.00
