Cad Technician Ii

• A CAD Technician II performs advanced computer aided design (CAD) drafting. Has the ability to take a product from concept to production, including working with PM team for specifications, initial design, testing, package design, production documentation. A CAD Technician II communicates with a team to aid in the completion of projects. A CAD Support Technician II can program all necessary equipment with requires CAD files. The CAD Technician II works under the direction of the Director of Operations.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Take a product, either new or custom request, from concept to production
• Work with PM team to create a list product specifications
• Create initial CAD design for review
• Create test report and do product testing
• Create product packaging plan and documentation
• Create all necessary documents for production team
• Work with vendors on new parts for new and existing products
• Assist Manufacturing Engineer with cost downs and efficiency projects
• Complete special projects as assigned

Experience:

• 5+ years of Solid Works experience
• 5+ years of experience designing commercial fitness equipment
• Have a basic knowledge of AutoCAD
• Previous use of Excel and Microsoft suite
• Experience programming Hypertherm plasma table files preferred
• Experience programming CNC router tables preferred

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Degree in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering or related degree preferred
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
