- Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile the computer specifications, and material quantities using a calculator or computer.
- Read and review project blueprint and structural specifications to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements.
- Confer with supervisor to determine project details such a plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of the field conditions.
- Inspect project sites and evaluate contractor work to detect design malfunctions and ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable codes.
- Develop plans and estimate costs for installation of systems, and infrastructure.
- Prepare reports and documents projects activities and data.
- Respond to public suggestions and complaints.
