Job Description
As a CAD Technician/Draughtsperson, you will collaborate with architects, design engineers, and construction professionals to translate initial designs into precise 2D and 3D technical drawings. These drawings play a vital role at every project stage, from cost estimation to manufacturing blueprints and installation instructions.
Responsibilities:
Technical Drawing Creation:
- Develop high-quality, detailed technical drawings based on architect and designer input.
- Modify existing drawings as needed.
CAD Software Proficiency:
- Use various CAD software programs for 2D and 3D model creation.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Liaise with architects, engineers, and designers to understand design requirements.
- Provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction teams.
Precision and Compliance:
- Produce accurate, detailed, and to-scale drawings.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and health and safety protocols.
Feasibility Analysis:
- Calculate costs and assess feasibility based on materials and engineering principles.
Site Visits and Surveys:
- Conduct site visits and surveys for project insights.
Documentation and Presentation:
- Present working drawings for all project stages.
- Generate installation and manufacturing documentation.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of drawings and project documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree or certification in CAD or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in CAD.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Attention to detail and precision in drawing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and engineering principles.
