Cad Technician

As a CAD Technician/Draughtsperson, you will collaborate with architects, design engineers, and construction professionals to translate initial designs into precise 2D and 3D technical drawings. These drawings play a vital role at every project stage, from cost estimation to manufacturing blueprints and installation instructions.

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Drawing Creation:

   • Develop high-quality, detailed technical drawings based on architect and designer input.
   • Modify existing drawings as needed.

2. CAD Software Proficiency:

   • Use various CAD software programs for 2D and 3D model creation.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Liaise with architects, engineers, and designers to understand design requirements.
   • Provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction teams.

4. Precision and Compliance:

   • Produce accurate, detailed, and to-scale drawings.
   • Ensure compliance with industry standards and health and safety protocols.

5. Feasibility Analysis:

   • Calculate costs and assess feasibility based on materials and engineering principles.

6. Site Visits and Surveys:

   • Conduct site visits and surveys for project insights.

7. Documentation and Presentation:

   • Present working drawings for all project stages.
   • Generate installation and manufacturing documentation.

8. Record Keeping:

   • Maintain accurate records of drawings and project documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree or certification in CAD or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in CAD.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Attention to detail and precision in drawing.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and engineering principles.
