We are seeking a CAD Engineer for manufacturing projects in our Dallas/Fort Worth region. This roles main object will be to support our team by creating Shop Drawings for approval and releasing cabinets to our shop for production.

- Proficient in Architectural Millwork and Casework Shop Drawings to Engineer and develop drawings for submittal to General Contractors, Architects and owners.
- Proficient in Architectural Millwork and Cabinet Making with the ability to edit as necessary any returned shop drawings as
- Release approved cabinet components to the shop using appropriate software.
- Check releases for accuracy, troubleshoot errors and correct
- Accurately completes timesheets with hours charged to the correct
- Completes material requisition forms to the correct job.
- Required to strictly comply with all Christman Millwork Construction policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.

Work Environment
The job will be conducted in a Construction/Manufacturing environment with moderate noise from machines and power tools. Conditions will include OSHA approved levels of dust. Personal Protection Equipment is required at all times in the shop and all job sites. Personal Protection Equipment includes the use of a hard hat, safety glasses, vest, gloves, face shields and respirators at all times. The role will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, sit, walk, reach, kneel, stoop, crouch, use hands and fingers to handle or feel and to operate a computer and telephone, keyboard, and maintain visual acuity. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and or carry lightweight (under 20 pounds).
Expected Hours of Work Full time position. Occasional extended hours and weekends may apply.
Travel Minimal travel required, depending on the project, travel to other areas may be required. The majority of travel is done during work hours, overnight stays may be required.
Required Education and Experience
- Three (3) or more years of relevant work experience

- Proven established work history for the position.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with CAD software
- Experience in Microvellum and Cutrite software
- Experience in Revu-Bluebeam
- Knowledge of AWI and QCP standards
