Cad Drafter/Engineering Assistant

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings using AutoCAD software according to specifications provided by engineers and other professionals.
• Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss and refine designs and drawings as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure timely and accurate completion of project plans and drawings.
• Identify potential design risks and propose solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure the accuracy of all drawings and designs.
• Prepare and deliver progress reports to project managers and other stakeholders.
• Visit field sites to ensure work is being carried out to specification and gather data.

• Experience in CAD drafting within a civil engineering or related industry.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD software and related programs.
• Possess knowledge of engineering principles and basic construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and develop collaborative working relationships with engineers and other professionals.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
