Job Summary
This entry level position is primarily responsible for the creation and maintenance of production documentation for manufacturing. This documentation primarily includes customer and manufacturing drawings, material and process deviations, and product database management. Secondary responsibilities include customer support, quote generation, and general manufacturing support. Products are self-clinching fasteners manufactured on multi-spindle screw machines.
Essential Functions
- Support Manufacturing Engineering by creating and editing CAD models and drawings for production.
- Design for manufacturability is essential.
- Understand, maintain, and apply threading procedures for internally and externally threaded products.
- Create and/or verify clinch design features for use in non-standard applications.
- Provide support and process improvements as assigned.
- Process formal and informal quotations.
Requirements
Qualifications
Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) with Parametric Modeling experience required.
- Experience or training using Creo (CATIA, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field preferred.
- Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of family/configuration tables, data management system, and MRP/ERP a plus.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical fastening and familiarity with metals, plating, and heat treatment desired.
