Position:  CADD Designer – Houston/Austin

Job Description

We are a premier Texas civil engineering firm, is currently seeking a CADD Designer with 3 or more years of relevant experience for our or Houston (preferred) or Austin, Texas office.

Responsibilities & Qualifications (include but not limited to)

• As a full-time employee this candidate will primarily be responsible for:
• Preparing CADD drawings (plans, layout and structural details) for assigned projects in accordance with standards (i.e., DOT) and department procedures.
• Creating project plan and detail sheets.
• Transferring information in sketched or written format to exhibits, preliminary bridge plans, and construction contract documents.
• Working with engineers, architects, and project managers to prepare bridge plans and construction details. 
• The responsibilities for this position include drafting and design associated with bridge, culvert, and other structural improvement projects.

Requirements

• Prior experience preparing plans for TxDOT a plus. 
• Prior experience preparing quantity calculations a plus.
• Familiar with TxDOT Bridge detailing and design criteria. 
• 3+ years’ experience and a technical degree preferred.
• Prior experience with Microstation is required.
• Prior experience with Geopak a plus.
