Salary:

Knickerbocker Group is seeking an experienced & passionate individual to join our team, as a full-time CAD/BIM Coordinator. Working closely with the CAD/BIM Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing and ensuring proper implementation of drawing standards, through daily coordination with interdisciplinary project teams. While we would prefer this individual to work out of our Boothbay or Brunswick offices, we will consider a Portland-based or hybrid arrangement for the right candidate.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop & maintain CAD & BIM/Revit standards and templates.
  • Host periodic Standards meetings for all design teams.
  • Prepare and present periodic Revit-specific training to employees, as well as general and adopted KG design software practices to all design team members.
  • Work in close collaboration with CAD/BIM Manager in managing the Revit library.
    • Develops content and families for general and specific use.
    • Review technical-designer-created Revit content to ensure it is built to the KG-standards and parameters.
    • Manages current library content and components, including standard details & family library.
  • Ensure smooth operation of BIM 360 models for internal & external design teams.
  • Assist design teams with the production of models, renderings and documented drawings using CAD/BIM software throughout all project phases.
  • Collaborate with design teams and vendors to meet overall project objectives and facilitate information sharing with outside designers, consultants, etc. as needed.
  • Provide on-call technical support to project teams during business hours.
  • Assist designers and consultants with health checks, coordination, and clash detection throughout project models.
  • Manage integration, standards, and coordination with ProCore and other company-related software.

Required education, experience, and technical knowledge:

Education/ Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Architecture, Construction, Civil Engineering, or related field(s).
  • 3+ years of CAD/BIM coordination experience in architectural and/or interior design.
  • Extensive knowledge of modeling and documentation techniques; and managing multiple projects from conceptual design to completion in CAD & Revit.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction documents and general residential construction methods.
  • Strong communication skills; works well in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience with training staff, troubleshooting, and standardization preferred.
  • Experience in managing internal workflows, best practices, and coordination.

Technical/ Software Skills: 

  • Strong knowledge of Revit, Lumion and/or Enscape Rendering Software, and BIM360/ Autodesk Construction Cloud required.
  • Experience in Procore, Sketchup, Bluebeam Revu/ Extreme and Dynamo preferred. 
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Experience in Project Management, and VR/AR are also beneficial.
