Manufacturing Company is seeking a skilled Cabinet Assembler. Successful candidates will have experience in woodworking, glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit.
Job Duties:
- Assembles cabinets using hand tools, fits prefabricated parts together.
- Builds and hang doors properly.
- Builds and assembles drawers and drawer facings.
- Installs required hardware, hinges, catches, and knobs on doors and drawers on finished cabinets
- Inserts screws or dowels in predrilled holes and fasten with screwdriver, glue and clamps
- Identifies missing and or damaged components by visual inspection, prior to final shipment.
- Identifies improvements in cabinet build.
Experience/skills:
- Knowledge of cabinet construction and hardware and assembly techniques.
- Ability to review drawings and directions for hardware installation.
- Experience using small hand woodworking tools and power tools, but not limited to screw gun, cordless drill, saws, nail gun, pocket screw machine, boring machine, hand router, laminate file, screw drivers and wrenches.
- Knowledge of metric measuring and ability to calculate using a tape measure.
- Knowledge of toe kick assembly and gluing techniques.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, and stoop and stand on feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in small places (cabinet interiors) and non-climate-controlled warehouse.
