GL Staffing is looking for Production Planning and Purchasing candidate. The position is multi-function. Purchasing, customer service, quality control administration, production scheduling, inventory control, production administration, shipping/receiving & customer order administration, pricing administration, answering phones. An extremely important role to support our production process. Located in Fort Lauderdale FL.
Salary: Up to 60k a year
Daily responsibilities & tasks: Production Planning and Purchasing
- Coordinate workflow for multiple products
- Plan and prioritize production to ensure appropriate inventory levels and maximum performance/minimum delay
- Communicate production status to Managers and attend production and scheduling meetings
- Prepare and submit status performance reports to ensure on time completion via spreadsheets and production metrics.
- Drive shop performance reporting by analyzing daily reports and communicating the results of that data
- Analyze back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders
- Support and assist execution of company’s production targets
- Assist in monthly assessment of inventory priority levels and adjust as needed
- Assist in evaluating resource allocation to bottle-neck operations and re-direct work as needed
- Request For Quote (RFQ) and follow up
- Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
- Forecasting; reviewing all inventory levels
- Understand and execute purchases based on market availability while developing profitable purchasing strategies
- Work, Monitor and Maintain adequate inventory safety stock
- Review outstanding PO’s daily and follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries
- Collect information of resources & machinery of all Manufacturing Vendors and maintain a supplier database
- Work with vendors to resolve non-conformances
- Assist with monthly order planning meeting;
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Quick Books, Excel, Word.
- ERP system administration.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance or related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management
