Busser/Dishwasher

JOB SUMMARY :

The kitchen utility staff is responsible for setting and cleaning tables to provide a clean and tidy environment for patrons. Their duties include removing dishes from tables.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery, and napkins from tables after diners are done eating.
• Wiping up water spills, food stains and dirt from tables.
• Handling cleaning of the dining area at the close of day and BOH cleanliness.
• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations.
• Washing, santizing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts.
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
• Sweeping, mopping,cleaning windows and display cases, and refrigeration/freezers.
• Storing cleaning products
• Check with Chef to bring back dirty dishes

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
• Prolonged periods standing.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.

Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is also important.
