The Crop/RCIS team is looking to hire a Crop Business Practices & Project Consultant who will lead projects that support global and/or regional strategic and operational priorities. As a Crop Business Practices & Project Consultant, you will be contributing to the application, strategic direction, and improvement of Crop business applications by managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive direction, innovation, and services.

RCIS provides insurance and superior services through leading agents to protect America's farmers and ranchers. It's been an innovator in crop insurance since the crop insurance business was privatized by the federal government in 1980. Today it's one of the nation's largest crop insurance providers, offering risk management protection in all 50 states through a national network of about 4,000 professionally trained and licensed agents.

The responsibilities of the person chosen for this role include Underwriting training and coaching, particularly of new hires. This individual will also be involved in supporting senior trainers and Peer Development Specialists in Underwriting through the creation of educational tools and resources that improve efficiency and consistency throughout the department. Additionally, this person will assist in determining the ongoing learning and development needs within Underwriting and collaborating in creating and implementing developmental solutions for these needs.

Other Responsibilities include:

+ Provides insight and analysis and executes plans as required under the guidance of an experienced analyst/project lead.

+ Conducts research, analysis, and interpretation of technology and operational issues.

+ Under moderate supervision, develops business requirements, user test cases, and/or user acceptance testing.

+ Applies knowledge of the business processes, products, services, and applications in order to provide educated recommendations for improvements.

+ Participates in implementation of solutions and applications, including planning and logistics.

+ Assists with change management planning and execution

+ Develops and maintains project documentation and project materials

This position would be preferred to be based out of our Schaumburg, IL office but can be located virtually anywhere in the United States.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Insurance Operations or Training areaOR

+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance Operations or Training areaOR

+ Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Insurance Operations or Training areaAND

+ Project management experience

+ Experience in preparing and delivering presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Three years Crop Underwriting experience preferred

+ Understand and able to use PowerPoint and other Microsoft applications

+ Passion for developing others

+ Training/presentation experience preferred

+ PMP

+ CAPM

+ Demonstrated Organizational and analytical skills

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Technical knowledge of project portfolio management and reporting tools (EX: Excel, Tibco, Access ,etc.)

+ Ability to multi-task

+ Experience working in a team environment

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $51,100.00 - $83,700.00.
