Responsibilities

The Business Engagement Team provides the highest level of excellence in supporting and enhancing relationships on the organization's behalf. Business Engagement team members excel at identifying and providing an elite concierge experience for our primary clients. The team serves as an internal conduit for the maintenance and execution of tasks on behalf of all business units. A secondary purpose of the team is to build a network of talented individuals that can move into open positions across the organization when opportunities are available.  

 

Key functions include but not limited to:

  • Schedule and attend Business Engagement meetings as it relates to assisting internal Berkley Industrial Comp departments: Business Development, Underwriting, RAMP, Finance and RESOLUTION
  • Train Business Engagement Department employees.
  • Develop and keep updated How To instructions for all BIN applications including but not limited to CC9, CC10, Endeavor, Policy Center, Endeavor portal and Berkley Beyond portal
  • Review Business Engagement workflows and processes for efficiencies and process improvement
  • Conduct one-on-ones with Business Engagement employees, minimum every two weeks
  • Create Jira tickets as needed for BMMS, BamTech, UWM and ECM projects as well as test tickets as it relates to test sites and production sites for CC9, CC10, Endeavor, Policy Center, Endeavor portal and Berkley Beyond portal
  • Audit tasks performed by Business Operations Technicians for accuracy and timeliness. Provide feedback, guidance and training based on audit results
  • Plan, coordinate and assure coverage as well as cover all Business Engagement department workflows and responsibilities which include:
  • New/Renewal Client Onboarding
  • Collaborate with BIN's RAMP team to create custom service plans for policy holders
  • Act as subject matter experts of BIN processes and systems
  • Create and review online first notice of injury reports and collaborate with RESOLUTION Specialists
  • Provide technical support to BIN's underwriting department through completion of policy issuance, policy endorsements and other critical policy-related changes
  • Medical and non-medical billing assistance
  • Manage regulatory challenges for BIN's RESOLUTION and UW departments, examples include:
    • Policy and Claim-related data feed errors
    • Ensure state regulations and filings are completed for both RESOLUTION and UW operations
    • NCCI DCI (Detailed Claim Information) submission corrections
  • Monitor phones and virtual attendant
  • Ensure incoming communications are properly identified and routed correctly
  • Design practices, processes, and procedures that are effective, understandable and repeatable for client accounts
  • Serve as primary point-of-contact for external customer questions, both policy and claims-related
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with concentration in law, public administration, business, nursing or insurance OR equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of experience workers' compensation experience
