Business Office Manager Full Time Monday through Friday 1st shift
Looking for a Business Office Manager for a skilled nursing facility. Need someone who is friendly, honest, dependable and has some prior experience working in Long Term Care. This position requires direct communication with our residents and family members.
Knowledge with the following responsibilities is required:
- ability to verify payor sources
- explain Business Office related section to new admissions
- provide information & assistance in regards to Medicaid eligibility and level of care criteria
- maintain AHT/Orbits systems at all time & ensure charges & payor sources are correct
- notifying outside agencies & communicating internally all admissions, transfers, discharges in a timely manner
- reviewing monthly billing statements with the ability to explain and answer any questions
- make daily bank deposits
- collections on overdue accounts
- follow White Oak policies and procedures for maintaining accounts receivable records
- maintain patient fund accounts
- securing moneybox at all times for patient funds
- verifying all funds on resident AR accounts & request refund
- notifies family of bed hold policy upon resident transfer to hospital
- initiates billing face sheet on all admits and readmits
- maintains current business file on all in-house residents
- provides insurance information to outside agencies as requested
- Maintains census lists
