PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill our Business Intelligence Report Developer role. The BI Developer is a member of a team responsible for enhancing HealthAxis data and reporting products. The BI Developer works within the Agile Kanban framework to solution, design, develop and implement production ready data reporting solutions. This individual must be an independent, hands-on, energetic team member, with proven ability to deliver quality work.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Design, develop, and implement BI reports and dashboards using data visualization tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine report requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in the reports.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of reporting tools.
- Provide training and support to business users on BI reporting tools.
- Maintain documentation for all reports and dashboards.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Expert knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Strong experience in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of other Azure services (AzureDevOps, Function apps, etc)
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience with data warehouse and reporting automation best practices
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Responsible for driving the HXG culture through values and customer service standards
Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal contacts
Develop and maintain positive relationships through effective and timely communication
Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
