Business Intelligence & Market Infrastructure Analyst
The objective with this position as a Business Intelligence & analyst in the team is to assess the sales potential of low carbon footprint vehicles based on infrastructure forecasts. The first part of this is the infrastructure forecasting. You will need to collect external and internal information and transform to forecasted roll-out plans for infrastructure solutions. Timing, type, locations, and density are key parameters. The second part is to assess the matching with vehicle needs and Volvo Group vehicle plans.
Participating in a team for fuel price forecasting is a complementary task and deliverable which you also will be involved in.
In this role it is important to have a deep understanding of the energy industry. You are therefore expected to have or develop a network within that area. Besides open information and publications, conferences, seminars, industry associations, academia and our Volvo Group initiatives are necessary information sources. Your closest colleagues will have the vehicle plans at their fingertips.
Sustainable Power is a function within Strategic Product Planning. We support Strategic Product Planning and Volvo Group Trucks Technology with Product Plans and strategies focusing a wide range of technology areas such as internal combustion engines, battery electric solutions, fuel cell solutions, and propulsion systems. Needless to say, these interesting areas are of high importance for a successful journey towards 100% fossil free in 2040.
- Experience from working with the energy sector, with a basic understanding of their business rationale and challenges.
- Ability to select information and filter relevant information from noise is important.
- Traits such as being analytical and structured as well as being an effective communicator.
- Leadership: You will not have direct reports, but you are nevertheless in a leading position, expected to strongly influence on our future.
- Master's degree education.
- Experience from other industries is a merit.
- Ability to work Autonomously: Having your direct manager abroad means that you need to be comfortable to work autonomously towards agreed targets.
