Job description

This is a hybrid position with an on-site requirement 2x per week in Wilmington, MA.

Business Intelligence Manager manages a team of analysts or developers who facilitate Business Intelligence processes and procedures development and implementation. Responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of Business Intelligence applications.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for technical design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of reports and dashboards to satisfy requirements of one or more user areas
  • Responsible for maintaining and optimizing Tableau Server operations, including Tableau Server permissions, licensing, extract refresh and Prep flow schedules
  • Guide business teams in reaching their goal of attaining self-service analytics using accessible database and Tableau tools
  • Collaborate with other developers in creating optimal, maintainable, and scalable architecture and design and actively promote quality in reporting and other project activities
  • Plan and design new reporting environments, on-premises-to-cloud migrations, and upgrades, including glossary definitions, process flows, documentation, and end-user training
  • Gather business requirements, conduct end-user training, and provide technical support
  • Must complete and execute technical metadata design, troubleshoot complex issues and not be afraid to dive in and help team members get through technical challenges

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, other related technology degree from an accredited university or college, or demonstrated technical knowledge and equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of Tableau development experience; extensive experience
  • 5 years of enterprise level solutions development experience including Business Intelligence, data warehousing, and/or data marts
  • Experience in high performance data architecture and design including Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and Dimensional Modeling
  • Solid understanding of SQL scripts/troubleshooting/debugging
  • Advanced development in creating interactive, action-driven, and highly-visual reports
  • Proven ability to deploy successful and scalable projects from start to finish in an agile environment
  • Certification in at least one Business Intelligence suite preferred

Experience

  • 8-10 years Tableau & BI experience
  • 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • 3 years of Tableau development experience; extensive experience
  • 5 years of enterprise level solutions development experience including Business Intelligence, data warehousing, and/or data marts

Education

  • BS/MS degree
