Business Intelligence Developer

The IT Power Apps and Business Intelligence Developer will play a pivotal role in our Information Technology department, leveraging their expertise in Power Apps development and Business Intelligence tools to enhance our organization's efficiency and data-driven decision-making. This individual will collaborate with various departments to design, develop, and maintain Power Apps solutions, and create insightful Business Intelligence reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

Power Apps Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps solutions to automate processes, streamline workflows, and improve productivity.
• Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that Power Apps meet business needs.
• Customize and extend Power Apps using Power Platform components (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents) for seamless integration.

Business Intelligence:

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to create accurate and reliable data models.
• Provide insights and actionable recommendations based on data analysis to support informed decision-making.

Data Integration and Management:

• Work with the IT team to integrate and manage data from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with data engineers and database administrators to optimize data storage and retrieval processes.

Training and Support:

• Train end-users and colleagues on the usage of Power Apps and Business Intelligence tools.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Power Apps and Business Intelligence solutions.

Documentation:

• Maintain detailed documentation of Power Apps solutions, data models, and report development processes.
• Keep records of system configurations, customizations, and best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Power Apps and Business Intelligence technologies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization of existing solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in Power Apps development and customization.
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools, especially Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and database management.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., Power Apps, Power BI) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, SQL Server, and other relevant technologies.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience with data warehousing and big data technologies is a plus.
• Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker, MCSA: BI Reporting) are advantageous.
