Business Intelligence Consultant

As a Business Intelligence Consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients leverage data-driven insights to make strategic decisions, optimize business processes, and achieve their goals.

• Providing top-tier service within our specialized areas of project management, change management, process improvement, and Business Intelligence.

What You Will Work On:

• Using data visualization to simplify complex information for easy understanding, utilizing charts and graphs.
• Connecting to, profiling, transforming, and understanding data from a variety of client sources and technologies.
• Bringing our clients value by simplifying intricate data, improving integration, creating client-focused reports, combining data sources, and presenting it attractively and understandably. Taking complex data and delivering the "So what" to stakeholders. This also includes data analysis for market trends, reporting, optimizing data collection, and collaborating with IT to implement new models and detect anomalies.
• Working with clients to gather Business Intelligence project requirements.
• Presenting data findings and insights to clients and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Required: Military veteran, experienced in military planning processes: JOINT (JOPP) ARMY (MDMP) NAVY (NPP) MARINE CORPS (MCPP) AIR FORCE (JOPPA), or equivalent
   1. Preferred: military leadership experience (ie. Command time, or equivalent)
2. Required: Bachelor's degree
   1. Preferred: Business Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
   2. Preferred: Advanced Degree
3. Required: A desire to play by adult rules, GSD™, a genuine commitment to client success, and a commitment to making our veteran communities better places in which to live and work.
4. Required: Proficiency in data analysis, data visualization, and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
5. Required: Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes.
6. Required: Proficiency in data transformation using tools such as SQL, Power Query, DAX, or similar.
7. Preferred: Proficiency in Machine Learning with Python, Scala, R or similar
8. Preferred: Proficiency/Understanding in a major cloud stack (AWS, Azure, GCP)
9. Preferred: Knowledge/Experience in Data Management or Data Governance processes.

The typical starting base salary ranges from $80,000 to $110,000, depending on your prior experience and qualifications. All in, initial total compensation generally ranges from $95,000 to $130,000 per year. During the final stages of the interview process, we will discuss salary details to give you all the information you need to make an informed employment decision.
Pay progression at Greencastle is based on our proprietary merit-based system that puts you in the driver's seat. The system provides transparent, objective rewards for accomplishments such as certifications, client satisfaction, internal leadership, just to name a few. Newer team members average 15% in base pay raises in their first two years, with higher performers increasing by over 40% in that time.
Work Environment:
Greencastle Consulting is headquartered in Malvern, PA., serving clients nationwide. Don't worry, there isn't much travel.
Much of our work with clients is accomplished remotely. However, we understand the importance of forging strong relationships, which is best done through in-person face-to-face interaction. This applies both with our clients and with the Greencastle team, so we intentionally plan these touchpoints.
Since we've all missed time with our families thanks to Uncle Sam, work-life balance is key. Sometimes the going gets tough - our clients depend on us to them through those times - but we always prioritize time to decompress with family and friends.
