POSITION: Business Control Specialist
FULLTIME/PARTTIME: Full-Time

CONTRACT: 3/28/2024 to 3/28/2025
PAY RANGE: 41.28/hr, paid weekly
Job Summary:
This role is a key member of the Business Controls & Central Reporting team that provides critical support for the GT delegated authority governance program. The best teammate for this role will possess strong organizational, analytical and execution skills, pay close attention to details, is a great communicator and collaborator, and excels at being deadline oriented to succeed in a fast-paced environment. The strongest candidates will have a love for investigating, analyzing and problem solving; great partnership and communication skills; and ability to understand the details, as well as synthesize them into meaningful recommendations, conclusions, and management reporting.
The role will also support improving the quality and execution of our Business Controls and central reporting activities.
Ensuring transparency and consistency of communications, providing oversight and guidance on deliverables.
Developing and managing strong relationships with the technology teams, GCOR and Control Partners, ensuring partnership on all deliverables.
Continuously assessing and enhancing processes, improving the quality and execution of deliverables, and identifying new approaches to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
Identifying, assessing and communicating emerging themes and trends based on various information gathering methodologies, sources and through overseeing various Business Controls and central reporting activities.

Required Skills
4+ years of risk experience in risk management, enterprise-wide role, policy management and governance, managing regulator activities or a combination of each.
Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and cultivate relationships both externally and internally.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify and summarize complex topics.
Expert level experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and Visio.
Proven communications skills: ability to present key messages, recommendations and information in a clear, concise and insightful way and synthesize information key to relevant points.
Investigative mindset that looks for potential issues or opportunities in routines and procedures.
Strategic thinker, self-starter, organized, versatile, and capable of performing work with minimal management oversight.
Ability to connect the dots across silos, think outside of the box and demonstrate an enterprise mindset.
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure appropriate communication, participation and timely coordination of risk and control routine deliverables; lead meetings as needed ensure effective collaboration and execution of deliverables
Work closely with stakeholders to coordinate updates, metrics and review materials as needed to support deliverables and routines; perform quality review before final submission to senior management and / or other stakeholders
Desired Skills
• 3+ years of technology control experience for a large and complex organization
• Background in technology and/or risk management strongly preferred
