Location: hybrid; Huntington Beach
Position Summary:
Teacher Created Materials seeks a detail-oriented Business Compliance Administrator. This position will report to the VP of Business Contracts and will work closely with editorial, finance, and accounting staff to coordinate information, workflow, and support activities for the team. This position will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, such as maintaining a filing system, tracking workflows, and supporting data entry needs.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Enter data accurately into databases and systems.
- Track process workflows to ensure timely completion.
- Organize physical and digital files.
- Communicate billing details and request invoices, as applicable.
- Assist in gathering and organizing data for department systems implementations.
- Gather data for copyright registration applications.
- May copyedit and proofread department documents and templates.
- Support special projects, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. degree, or equivalent education and work experience
- 2–3+ years administrative support experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with DocuSign, a plus
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
- Collaborative, team-oriented work style
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Prior experience with publishing, a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Sit for extended periods of time, including at a computer.
- Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
Work Conditions:
- General office environment.
