Business Analyst

Alderson Loop is looking for a Business Analyst to join a project with a large power & utilities company. This individual will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements related to IT projects and initiatives, conduct extensive analysis of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, and develop detailed process maps, flowcharts, and other visual aids to illustrate current and future-state processes.

Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to document processes, policies, and best practices.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements and develop solutions that align with business objectives.
• Lead testing efforts by developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, and coordinating user acceptance testing.
• Identify and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Partner with IT team members and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and deployment of system enhancements and changes.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to business analysis and process improvement.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an IT-focused role.
• Proven experience with process mapping and creating visual representations of complex business processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues and drive process improvements.
• Proficiency in conducting system testing, developing test plans, and creating test scripts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
