Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and self-starting Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience in modeling using Excel and other business intelligence tools/software. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making processes, uncovering insights, and providing valuable recommendations to optimize business performance.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Modeling:
- Utilize advanced Excel skills and SQL queries to analyze large datasets and create sophisticated financial models.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Zoho Analytics, PowerBI, etc.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can inform strategic decisions.
Requirement Gathering and Documentation:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Document and communicate business processes, data flows, and system requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and analytical solutions.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor and report on business performance against these metrics.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations based on data-driven insights.
- Generate periodic and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making processes
Data Visualization and Communication:
- Present complex data and insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and tailor visualizations accordingly.
- Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance analytical capabilities and streamline processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on data analysis and modeling.
- Proficient in Excel, with advanced skills in data manipulation and modeling.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing relational databases.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Zoho Analytics or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Stays informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business analysis, SQL, and data modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

$80,000-$110,000.00 annual salary range. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
