Summary
The Bus Aide will assist with the daily pick-up and delivery of children on the bus route.
Duties
The Bus Aide will provide a developmentally appropriate transportation experience for children, as well as ensure that all children are safe on the bus route. Provide safe boarding, riding, and exiting of passengers.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Successfully pass the Caregiver Background Check
- Successfully pass a physical examination, which verifies the employee is free from communicable diseases and is physically able to perform required job responsibilities
- Maintain the interior of assigned bus so as to guarantee a clean and sanitary environment for individuals being transported
- Demonstrate sensitivity toward all cultures
- Ability to participate in all required Bus Aide training and professional development
- Experience working with low-income, multicultural families
- Ability to address the needs of children with disabilities
Benefits
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 2:30-5:30 pm- Part Year
Pay: $15.84 an hour
No working weekends or holidays
