3rd shift
Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
Occasional overtime throughout the week including Saturday

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic Math Skills
• Ability to operate a jib crane, overhead crane, and electric pallet jacks.
• Able and proficient in
• use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and fix gauges where interpretation is required.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Proficient in shop mathematics and layout techniques
• Previous experience working in a heavy industrial and or manufacturing environment
• Certified Production Technician
• LEAN manufacturing principles
• Maneuver spools from floor rails to pay-off
• Using hoist moving finished spools to pallets several times a day
• Frequently standing for long periods of time, walking, use of hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands or arms, repetitive motion, close visual acuity, stoop, kneel or crouch. Employee frequently lifts or moves up to 25 lbs and occasional lifts or moves up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors, specifically red.
• Flashing lights in the Value-Added area may trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy.
• Occasional step up or crawl

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for filling out the reports indicated in the work instructions and/or control plan
• Perform measurements/inspections on the product according to the indicated frequency
• Responsible for filling the racks and changing them as many times as the process requires during the shift
• Operate the equipment in accordance with work instructions and following established parameters
• Carry out inspection and cleaning routines according to the established program
• Palatize the shift's production for delivery to the annealing oven
• Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.
• Knowledge of chemical hazards, waste management procedures, and implementation of emergency response procedures.
