SUMMARY:
Performs loading and unloading duties of Bulk Materials transported to and/or within the plant production areas and verifies the proper identification of products and quantities as manifested. Performs work in a safe, responsible manner by following all safety rules and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include some or all of the following:
Loads and unloads shipments of Bulk Materials at plant facility using product handling equipment.
Verifies correct product and quantities are reflected on all paperwork.
Ensures that accurate Bulk Materials are unloaded into the proper tanks by checking the label on the delivered product and matching the label on the proper plant tank.
Ensures that tanks are supplied with product to keep line operating during the job run.
May be required to operate a semi-truck on plant property.
Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures for handling all materials.
Assists in obtaining product samples for lab analysis.
Performs general warehouse duties.
Maintains a clean work environment both inside and outside the facility by using good housekeeping habits.
Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Reliable and regular attendance expected.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent and two years’ experience in a production, laboratory or warehousing environment. Must have strong attention to detail.
OTHER SKILL AND ABILITIES:
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Ability to prioritize plant needs
Must be able to enter information into production software.
Must be able to pass forklift test.
Basic math skills.
Mechanical skills.
Decision-making skills.
Ability to stand for long periods of times in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
Employed is required to pass OSHA respiratory physical.
Must be available to work rotating shifts as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in the outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals.
