Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Must be able to plan, organize, perform and supervise the delivery of heavy equipment, materials, supplies, etc.
  • Must be able to organize inventory and maintain the lay-down yard.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the repair of heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to operate and maintain heavy equipment.
Must successfully complete two (2) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

  • A bachelors degree and one (1) year of professional experience in the operation of heavy equipment;

OR

  • Associate Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in the operation of heavy equipment .

OR

  • A High School diploma and three (3) years of experience in the operation of heavy equipment.

Must have a class "A" Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
