The Building Maintenance Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager or Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Assistant assists in various tasks related to Building Maintenance, repairs, and improvements. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively contribute to maintaining a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for occupants and visitors.

- Perform routine inspections of building systems, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Assist in repairing and maintaining plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems under the guidance of skilled technicians.
- Conduct minor repairs and troubleshooting for issues such as leaks, malfunctions, or damages.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment, fixtures, and building components.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules, including lubricating machinery, changing filters, and inspecting fire safety systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas, storage rooms, and equipment.
- Support in maintaining inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from occupants or management and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and external contractors as needed for larger projects or specialized tasks.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment inspections.
