Working directly with the Client, Design and Construction Team, the BIM Technician / Project Lead is responsible for managing, facilitating, and executing the daily processes of developing and maintaining BIM in the office. Working as the main point of contact to designers and modelers for BIM related items, the BIM Technician plays an important role in successful integration and delivery of a design. The BIM Technician is responsible for aiding the design/ construction team in development of models, developing client BIM standards, ensuring conformance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), and ensuring that information being generated within models is accurate and clean. To accomplish these tasks, the BIM Technician may also be responsible for generating content, facilitating Quality Control processes, managing data sharing activities among the Design Team, and helping provide an interface between users and IT regarding BIM software requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in development of BIM Project/ Program Standards
Assisting in development of BIM Execution Plans
Assisting in maintenance of Standards Libraries
Ensuring compliance of best practices by project teams
Providing technical knowledge of BIM to project teams
Conducting and leading periodic coordination meetings with project teams
Coordination and daily management of BIM projects
Setting up or assisting with setting up new projects
Setting up quality control sessions for project teams
Performing Quality Control reviews such as clash detection and visual inspection of models
Assisting with producing final deliverable data sets from BIM data
Assisting in researching, evaluating, and implementing new technologies

Typical salary range for this position is $31.20/hour to $54.62/hour and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
- Associates degree in architecture or engineering technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience.
