Job Description
The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager works closely with our project BIM coordinators, and multi-disciplinary project designers to support our complex design projects in the food and beverage industry. This role also focuses on authoring, maintaining, and implementing standard companywide workflows. Identifies and assists in creating digital assets to enhance our libraries. Promotes BIM and trains others on these workflows and design applications. Responsibilities of the BIM Manager include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement.
- Development of project BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Assist project teams with BIM project execution planning at project kickoff and project milestones.
- Advise and help define Level of Development/Detail for deliverables.
- Creation and maintenance of project template files to establish standards and efficiency.
- Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards.
- Maintenance of the content libraries, and creation of content in response to project needs.
- Stay informed on best practices regarding all software utilized at Dennis Group.
- Attending conferences, seminars, and workshops for BIM; bringing back learnings and disseminating the information to the appropriate staff and teams.
- Assist teams in project set up, advanced modeling, and technical support.
- Research and development of new workflows, tools, and features.
- Manage current software and new software deployment.
- Perform regular model audits.
- Create software deployment packages.
- Manage software licensing and cloud collaboration platforms.

Required Education Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering.
- 10+ years of work experience in AEC industry.
- working knowledge of all aspects of professional services from planning and schematic design through project close-out.
- Strong technical knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Plant3D, and other Design Applications.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a positive, can-do, team-oriented attitude.
- Strong problem solving, organizing, and time management skills.
Travel Requirement
- Travel Requirement – Occasional travel to trade shows or client meetings with annual travel requirement of up to 10% of the year.
