Budget Technician
Job Description:
This is a civilian, contract position. Serves as a Utility Bill Services Technician supporting the U.S. Army Reserve, 99th Readiness Division (DIV (R)), Directorate of Public Works, Budget Department. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Budget Department in providing administrative support.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Receive, open, date, and categorize utility bills.
- Review and record consumption data into database.
- Review existing data collection processes and propose process revisions to ensure that data is captured accurately.
- Enter utility payment information into utility payment tracker.
- Analyze and prepare utility cost data for entry into GFEBS (SAP).
- Identify the root cause utility shut-off notices, gather information working with vendors, and present to Government POCs for resolution.
- Analyze and review vendor information to ensure all CAGE codes are accurate and correct.
- Utilize utility data to determine if projected efficiencies are achieved following installation of new equipment.
Qualifications (Education and Experience):
- High school or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- Data Analysis: 2 years
- Data Entry: 2 years
- Experience with data entry, data analysis, and reporting
- Experience with Microsoft Office; specifically, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in GFEBS is desired but not required
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- Pass a government background investigation and maintain requirements for keeping a Common Access Card (CAC) and Information Technology (IT) access.
