Budget Analyst Supervisor

General Purpose

The Budget Analyst Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the financial health of the Agency and working collaboratively with agency Controller as directed by the Chief Financial Officer. This includes with focused on budget preparing, program fiscal activity monitoring and analyzing, budget revision process, and other job-related duties as assigned. This should be accomplished by having a thorough understand of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

· Develop, present, and oversee program financial budgets on an ongoing basis for all agency funding source, ensure proper distribution and verify that the appropriate resources are utilized.

· Assists prepare annual agency budget, and other budgets required by Grants and Development department.

· Ensure all budgets and financial processes align with funder goals and within general compliance.

· Collaborate with program directors and cross-departmental leadership to set budget goals and ensure they are followed.

· Evaluate budget proposals and financial requests for viability.

· Collaborate with Controller to track results and comparing them to key financial targets; to conduct monthly budget to actual review and Provide reports explaining discrepancies, communicating concerns, and providing recommendations to operational team monthly.

· Forecast financial needs throughout the year for each program, and provide feedback to operational team, support to prepare budget revision as needed

· Prepare cost estimates and plans, while providing necessary reporting, documentation, and financial assessments.

· Demonstrates a thorough understanding of contractual obligations and other pertinent matters as set forth in the business transactions of the Agency.

· Review and analyze purchases/travel/hiring requests for fund availability

· Approval of requisitions for goods, services, and personnel including temporary personnel.

· Prepare and tracking Agency Facility budget for all locations

· Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

· Minimum of bachelor’s degree from a credited four-year college or university with concentration on Accounting, Finance, or related field, AND

· CPA license preferred, AND

· Paid professional experience with Human Service and/or Community Based Service experience preferable.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer; inventory software; and project management software is preferred.
