Summary
The Budget Administrator, ITS is responsible for managing the Information Technology Services (ITS) department's budgets, finances, grants, and contracts - $18.5 M. This position analyzes, forecasts, and tracks ITS and ITS-affiliated budgets, as well as supporting annual financial audits. In conjunction with other ITS and University offices, this position also manages grants, contracts and legal agreements with vendors for software and other IT services. The position supports the University's software/application inventory development, and represents ITS on the University's software and IT services procurement review conmmittee, which has oversight for all University software and IT services purchases, and ensures that University policy is followed.
Essential Functions
  • Plan, create, analyze, and report on all accounts, budgets, purchases, and personnel for ITS.
  • Manage vendor relations, purchases, and acquisitions for ITS hardware, software, and IT services, including many large organizations such as Apple, Dell, Microsoft, Adobe, and Oracle.
  • Forecast, model, and provide future ITS budgets, and make recommendations to Chief Information Officer on actions, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage the University's software/application inventory of over 750 applications.
  • Manage all IT-related hardware, software, and service agreements, in conjunction with the Office of General Counsel and Purchasing of over 450 contracts.
  • Provide support to colleges/departments as needed for vendor relations and acquisitions for software and IT services.
  • ITS primary representative for the University's software and IT services procurement review committee.
  • Research and develop IT grants for ITS.

Minimum Qualifications
The following Degree is required:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Successful candidate must have degree conferred at the time of application.
The following Degree is preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
The following Experience is required:
  • 3 years accounting or financial analysis
The following Experience is preferred:
  • 1 year of budget management, analysis, and forecasting experience
  • 1 year of IT software license and agreements experience
  • 1 year higher education experience
  • 1 year grants and contracts experience
