Bubbly Buyer

Bubbly Buyer at Plato's by the North Star Mall :)

This position is all about moving fast and buying in cute teen clothes with the stores money!

How it works:

• Customers come in, get checked in and leave their items (their \buy as we call it) in our care
• Bubbly Buyers then locate the next buy in line
• Dump the items needing to be sorted onto the buy counter
• Preform the trained folds looking for wear and tear
• Quickly putting the items we're unable to purchase in one pile, and the items we can purchase in another
• After sorting through the items, what we are purchasing will be entered by a Bubbly Buyer into our computer system to generate a cash quote for our customers
• Items we're unable to take get put back into the customer's container
• Bubbly buyers then send out a text message letting the customer know their buy is completed
• When the customer returns you explain to them what we were able to take and a gently/brief reason for why we passed on the other items

Buyers are the face of our business... Buys lead to sales so we are eager to hire smiley humans who radiate good vibes and are excited to get paid to be show up and show off!

What you need to be successful in this role:

• Reliable Transportation

• Show up to work on time or get your shift covered in advance
• Keep up with Teen Fashion Trends
• Friendly... Smiley... & Outgoing (We want our customers to feel like every day is a good time when they're in our store)
• Not easily overwhelmed by multitasking or having a lot going on around you

No experience? This position would start at $11.50. Some relevant experience? This position would start at $12.00/hour with potential for fast performance based growth opportunities as your speed and reliability shine through!

Plato’s Closet buys and sells gently used clothes, shoes and accessories, so you can recycle the items you no longer wear and get paid on the spot. We buy styles for all seasons, all day, every day, with no appointment necessary. Each Plato’s Closet location is individually owned and operated by local business owners, so you can feel good about shopping small.

Pay: $11 - $13 / hour
