Essential Job Functions
Collaboration: Collaborates with various staff but primarily with VP Finance, Director of Risk Management, and Accounting Manager in discussions and solutions relevant to RVCU's risk, fraud, and quality control processes.
Accountability Measurement and Assignments: Participates in various committees, such as Fraud and BSA and responsible for completing goals/assignments timely and efficiently.
Focus on Purpose/Mission: Focused on the credit union's purpose of making a positive impact on others, and RVCU's mission to educate members and the community, build deeper relationships, and provide exceptional service - all of which contribute to credit union growth.
Regulatory Reporting, Quality Control, and Fraud Investigation: Prepare various regulatory reports including Suspicious Activity, Currency Transaction and Unclaimed Property timely and accurately to ensure the credit union is compliant. Conduct routine internal audits to ensure quality control. Monitor and investigate fraud alerts and unusual member activity. Assist with OFAC, 314(a) and 314(b) responsibilities. Review checks deposited through remote deposit or the personal/interactive teller machines (PTM/ITM) for fraud and extending or releasing holds as appropriate. By identifying fraud through these investigations, the credit union's exposure to additional fraud would be limited.
Core Process, Policies, and Procedures: Responsible for following all core processes, policies, procedures, and regulations relating to the credit union.
Community Advocate: Serves as a representative of the credit union and is actively visible and involved in the community.

Requirements
• 2-year degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and training
• 1-3 years fraud prevention or operations experience required, preferably in a financial institution.
• Certification, such as Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) or equivalent required within 1 year of hire.
