Summary:
The Broom Truck Operator sweeps the pavement at various construction work sites safely operating mechanized cleaning equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform required inspection of Broom Sweeper, pre-trip and post trip,
- Responsible for maintaining cleaning and maintenance log for sweeper,
- Responsible for operating the truck in a safe manner,
- Required to inspect them daily to ensure safe operation
- Ability to work in areas of uneven terrain and reduced spacing for maneuvering,
- Ability to exercise extra caution during inclement weather and emphasis on backing,
- May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends,
- Additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) and excellent driving record,
- Requires a minimum of two (2) year experience as a Broom Truck Operator,
- High school or GED desired,
- Must be able to obtain a Class 7 Operators license in the District of Columbia,
- Must have a valid medical card (DOT),
- Applicants must be able to operate Manual Transmission vehicles,
- COVID-19 vaccination is highly recommended,
- Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening.
