Department Profile:
The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organization's financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups and Valuation Review.
Team Profile:
Business Resource Management (BRM) within the Finance team is currently seeking a Director to join the ISG Finance organization. The position requires a motivated individual with strong analytical, technical, and communication skills. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of BRM - P&L, Balance Sheet, Capital, Strategy initiatives and Projects. BRM manages the firm's secured funding business and as such, the candidate will socialize across a broad range of Sales and Trading, Regulatory, Treasury controllers as well as global BRM business heads. The candidate should have a good understanding of financial industry. Secured funding or other product (derivatives, equity, Fixed income and etc.) knowledge is added benefit.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy and Product Controllers involvement with delivering projects & managing relationships across the business and Federation departments.
- New initiatives with increased focus on funding and building out transparency with the broader team
- Interest and familiarity with financial markets and products (cash & derivative products).
- US GAAP accounting knowledge a plu
- Basic RWA capital, SLR knowledge a plus- Tableau and other software application knowledge is a plu

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
