Heavy Highway Bridge Deck Foreman

This is an immediate hire for an experienced heavy highway Bridge Deck foreman.

Must be

Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic

Willing to work in all weather conditions (hot and cold)

This position requires a craftsman with extensive working knowledge of the various methods used to assemble all major types of forms

Have to be comfortable working at heights

Ability to lift construction materials exceeding 50 lbs.

RESPONSABILITIES

This bridge carpenter /concrete finisher foremen must have heavy highway Bridge Deck experience.

Instill Safety as a top priority

Working with crews building forms and false work

Measuring, cutting and installing materials per plans, while working with a variety of hand and power tools.

Unloading, handling and stockpiling material

Maintains a clean job site; picks up tools, materials and equipment

Signals concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms

Spreads concrete into inaccessible sections of forms

Levels concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, using hand-held screed and floats to bring water to surface and produce soft topping

Finishes concrete surfaces using various trowels, or wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stone to repair defective spots from concrete surfaces, using grinder or power chisel and hammer, and parch holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound

Molds expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, Jointers and straightedge

Finishes the exposed surfaces of fresh concrete paving to the final grade and contour with the use of straight edges and steel trowels or wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stone to impart finish

This is a full time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.51 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 60 per week
