We are seeking a Sales Rep to join our team! Sales reps earn the listed base salary plus commission.
THE POSITION
The Sales Representative role will focus on growing brand awareness throughout the territory, increasing volume through our distribution network, and seeking out new accounts and marketing opportunities. They will work together with our Sales Manager and distribution partners to set sales goals and establish strategies to achieve monthly sales targets and growth projections. Ideal candidates will have in-depth knowledge of the craft beer market, an outgoing and personable demeanor, and be self-motivated. The position requires daily sales visits with current and potential accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and grow relationships with retail partners through regular communication and account visits
- Identify new account opportunities and increase our points of distribution
- Monitor distributor’s inventory and depletions and communicate with management team and accounts
- Work closely with key members of the distributor’s team including brand manager and Sales Reps to increase sales
- Attend sales meetings with management, distribution partners, and perform regular sales rides with distribution reps
- Analyze sales data and market performance to influence decision making
- Establish relationships with every buyer and key decision maker in accounts- Increase brand awareness with retailers and consumers by scheduling and participating in samplings, events, and promotions
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum 1 years experience in sales (craft beer sales preferred)
- Advanced knowledge and passion for craft beer and the beer industry
- Strong sales and customer relationship skills
- Strong understanding of inventory management and wholesale distribution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and co-workers
- Remain calm under pressure or when dealing with difficult issues
- Maintain strong relationships with buyers, accounts and vendors
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 21 years old
- Must live within the territory
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable driving on a daily basis to visit accounts throughout the territory
- Be able to work weekends and evenings for events when necessary
