The RN navigator acts as primary point of contact prior to and after initial diagnosis, providing patient with sufficient knowledge and resources to self direct care. Assessment of needs and obstacles that might delay or prevent patient from receiving care and make appropriate referrals and appointments to established support services to empower the patient with assistance, knowledge and emotional support to independently navigate cancer services
Required Education: High School graduate or equivalent, Graduate from accredited school of Nursing, Bachelor’s degree preferred (BSN)
Required Licensure and Certifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license active with the Board of Nursing within the state you are practicing or a nursing license with eNLC practice privileges
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 18 months Oncology experience relevant to breast cancer treatment, management, leadership and organizational skills
PREFERRED Qualifications: Oncology Certification and Breast Care Nurse Certification
