Are you friendly, like to be outdoors in the summer, and looking to make some spending money?? Then YOU should be an Admissions Ticket Taker! As a front of the park representative, you are the first impression guests receive of Breakwater Beach. You can represent the company in a positive manner just by being you!!   • Our front of the park admissions staff is one of the most important areas of BWB. The admissions department is the very first department that our guests encounter when they enter the park. For this reason, we always try to make a good first impression. In this department as well as in the whole park, image and attitude are very important. We are looking for friendly, outgoingTicket Takers for our front gate area of the park.
  • Ticket takers are located at the front, back and side entrances. They are there to direct and assist guests waiting in line wherever that may be withing the park, and putting on wristbands. They should also help guests adhere to park rules, and answer questions promptly and accurately. Most employees will start out here and move to other departments as they reach 16. These employees are usually 14/15 years old.

Requirements

  • Outgoing, friendly, energetic person willing to interact with customers, providing a friendly greeting and exchange is required.
  • Be able to answer various questions about ticket prices, the admission system, height restrictions, locations of bathrooms, first-aid, Guest Services, and other general questions. Answers to questions are explained during training.
  • Employee is required to stand for long periods of time, perform repetitive tasks, and have a high-level of interaction with customers and co-workers.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
  • Employee is there to direct and assist guests waiting in line and putting on wristbands.
  • Employee will be responsible for enforcing safety guidelines enter and exiting the park.

Work Environment:

  • This job is primarily outside the interacting with guests. Ticket Takers will sit or stand for long periods of time. Ticket Takers will be in positions throughout the park when needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Ticket Takers will be working indoors and outdoors and are exposed to all types of weather.
  • Ticket Takers are required to use and reach with hands and arms, Standing, Sitting, Stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Ticket Takers are exposed to loud noised throughout the day.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Expected hours of work:

  • Must have a somewhat flexible schedule including morning, evening, weekends and holidays (no exceptions) from Memorial Day weekend (when school is not in session) through mid-September. We will work with special requests, but the more availability you provide us, the better schedule we can give you and allow you time off as requested since others are more available.
