Job description

Summary: Serves meals to our Restaurant/Lounge customers/guests while performing the following duties.

*Must be positive and have a teamwork attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Assist in setting china, silverware, linen, and glassware on tables before opening.

· Assist in the presentation and display of buffet set-ups and table decoration. Retrieves orders from the cook line promptly.

· Checks dishes for correctness, neatness, and cleanliness before service to the guest.

· Observe diners to respond to additional requests and determine when a meal has been completed.

· Tosses salads, portions, pies, and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by the Supervisor or management.

· Assisted in bussing tables along with the busser as diners finished their meals.

  • Assist in clearing and breaking down the restaurant at closing.

Education and/or Experience:

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with O's and l00s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

You are applying common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions—the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
