Our busy hotel is looking for a detail-oriented person to set up and take down our breakfast buffet, ensuring that fruits, bread, cereals, and hot items are always available. You'll also need to walk throughout the dining area speaking with guests and cleaning up used plates and utensils. Responsibilities:
- Make sure that the breakfast buffet is fully set up each morning and that fresh items are always offered throughout service hours
- Wipe down service lines, beverage dispensers, and other equipment according to health and safety regulations
- Clear tables during breakfast using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware, and silverware in a timely manner
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Sanitize and ensure cleanliness of all buffet bar areas, including tables and chairs, and empty trash as needed
Qualifications:
- Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
- We prefer some experience working in the food service industry
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills with diners and coworkers
- Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality
