Job Description

The Bread Expeditor Coordinator is the link between Bread Production and Delivery. The Bread Expeditor Coordinator safely, accurately and efficiently pulls and expedites all phases of wholesale bread orders. The Bread Expeditor Coordinator position is the fourth of four Bread Expeditor levels.

Location: 2249 NW York St., Portland, OR 97210

Rate of Pay: This position pays $24.42 per hour. 

Schedule: Full-time, schedule flexibility and the ability to work weekends and holidays is required. Shifts start at 5:00pm or 6:00pm.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English required; English/Spanish bilingual preferred
  • Maintains food handler’s card – new hires are expected to have a valid card by their first date of work
  • Must demonstrate regular attendance by coming to work on scheduled working days and being on time. May be required to work a variety of days and shifts to meeting business need including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to add, subtract and multiply with ease and accuracy
  • Ability to function calmly and efficiently in high-pressure, multi-task, deadline-driven environment
  • Basic computer skills required including use of MS Outlook or similar email program

Physical requirements include but are not limited to:

  • This position works in a building shared with production facilities is constantly exposed to wheat flour dust and other grain dusts (rye, corn, oat).
  • Procedures requiring a high-level of repetitive motion involving hands, wrists, arms and back – including lifting and twisting. 
  • This position walks up to the equivalent of two miles per shift. This position stands for 100% of the shift worked.
  • This position works in warm environments.
